Using the paint colors matched from the Devonna Print the top is paint splattered by hand using latex water soluble paint. The fabric used is repurposed cotton muslin that’s been washed and pre-shrunk. This piece can be ironed and steamed as needed for folds and hard creases-But it is meant to have a slight textured/wrinkled/vintage look. The Long Island Breeze Wide Neck Short Sleeve Top is made using fabric found at the thrift shop connected to my church out on Long Island, New York.
The fabric is a sturdy cotton sateen. The sateen weave gives this print an unexpected luxurious appearance. The print reminds me of summers on the Island with family and seafood dinners.
Inspired by garments Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wore- this unexpected neckline is open and cool for summer. Box pleat detail at center back.

The Devonna Sleeveless Open Ruffle Top is made from dead-stock yardage found in the garment center of NYC. It is primarily cotton with a bit of stretch. Comfortable with a cool hand feel this printed cotton poplin is perfect for summer and as we transition into autumn. Since this was found yardage I renamed it after my niece Devonna who is a fan of the color purple.
