The programs have MMF on the cover, since this production was part of the annual Mostly Mozart Festival. The cherry blossom petals are made of a thin rice paper, so they fluttered dramatically across the stage and even into the audience!

The doors and interior partitions were used to frame events during the show with characters moving in and out of the larger-than-life shrine.

The inside of the David H. Koch Theater is beautiful. It is home to the American Ballet Theatre’s fall season and various other productions throughout the year.

I probably wasn’t supposed to take a picture, but they were so amazing I couldn’t help myself. The standing ovation went on for several minutes.
